November 18, 2011. A day that will go down in history. Why, you ask? For bringing forth possibly the most ridiculously terrible movie I've ever seen. Twilight: Breaking Dawn. My roommates and I decided to go to the midnight premiere with some friends in our ward, and all I can say is, again, I am so so sorry that we put them through that! In all honesty, I should have seen it coming, having already read the book, but they just took the film adaption to a whole different level. From the casting and script to the acting and the plot, it never failed to dive below my already tiny expectations. However, I will say that there were a couple highpoints. All of them involve T-Lauts, scruff, and lack of shirt.
Saturday I got to take a little trip up to the temple with ma homegirl Lindsey Frey whatupppp. We naively showed up at 11:15 on a Saturday morning, and were greeted with a two and a half hour line. Yeeeeeeesh. But worth it? Check a huge yes. Love you roommate.
Last night was the final home football game this season....*tear. Since my pops played, we get pre-game field access at home games. Yesterday he didn't end up coming down for the game, but I reallyyyy wanted to be able to get down on the field for the last time this season. So I put my grown-up pants on and politely explained the situation to the wrist-band lady, and what do you know? They gave us wristbands! Normally I would have cowered away from the situation, too scared to ask, but this time I prevailed! Baby steps, guys. So my friends Nick Jones and Edward Anthony (Houstman-not Cullen) accompanied me down onto the field. My dad always says we can bring whoever we want down to the field, but just make sure they're going to be able to appreciate the situation; i.e. both Nick and Ed showed appropriate levels of excitement at seeing Harvey Unga, Riley Nelson, and Cosmo, so congrats guys, you passed the test!
P.S. I bought my ticket to Spain! No turning back, I'm really going!
